My Philosophy

I believe that a great education reaches beyond test scores, lectures, textbooks, and procedures. Yes, we need all of those aspects for success and we need to value them; but true education happens when all of that has passed, and the information presented becomes a part of that student.

My passion for teaching is deeply rooted in my passion for learning.  I believe that creativity and enthusiasm go a long way in cementing a new concept into a student's brain.  It is my mission to assist my students in accomplishing their academic goals throughout this school year.  I will continually strive to provide a classroom environment which is safe, supportive, creative, fun, and conducive to learning.

As a mother of three and through my work as a teacher, I know that every student is unique, equipped with their own skill-set and individual method of learning. I believe that every student is teachable and I will work each day to help them discover their strengths and reach their full learning potential.
